Group Account Director, CCX
Position Title: Group Account Director
Reports To: EVP, Client Services

Brief Job Summary:
Responsible for strategy development, vision, P&L and organizational growth of CCX. Identifies, pursues, and secures new business for CCX through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers. Communicates with new and existing clients on an ongoing basis to establish and maintain strong working relationships. Negotiate terms of business with client. This position has a key role in generating leads, opening doors and getting appointments with decision makers, calling on potential new accounts as well as growing existing business.
Responsibilities of Position
- Organically grows existing business and client relationships
- Responsible for the identification, negotiation, and analysis of new business opportunities for CCX.
- Responsible to meet specific sale and revenue targets assigned by the EVP, Client Services.
- Develops and implements an overall strategy for increasing sales, market share and profitability.
- Manages CCX business unit assigned to specific clients.
- Responsible for P&L
- Develops and implements plans and strategies for the development of new business opportunities and growth CCX .
- Provides the experience necessary to plan, organize, and successfully negotiate and structure new business proposals
- Assesses business opportunities for a variety of therapeutic areas
- Oversees the implementation and follow-up on business agreements
- Communicates the progress toward business development milestones to Company management
- Attends meetings and conducts presentations to effectively describe and promote capabilities and determine customer needs
- Collaborates with internal departments in the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and business models
- Seeks out and researches potential clients, product and project opportunities through various sources including the utilization of the Internet, print materials, trade journals etc.
- Creates, manages and edits preliminary responses as well as final proposals and presentations
- Produces responses that maintain the appropriate Company “look”, branding and messaging
- Provides input to the management team on new product or service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs
- Demonstrates effective expense control in performance of duties consistent with or exceeding corporate guidelines
- Directs Account/ProjectManagers including completion of yearly performance appraisals.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record for developing relationships with pharmaceutical companies, as well as the ability to identify Professional Education business opportunities, offer a consultative solution and ultimately close the business.

Essential Job Qualifications
- Education: BA/BS in scientific or business discipline
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in medical education agency, pharmaceutical services and/or pharmaceutical sales industry required (pharmaceutical and/or agency sales training experience is a plus)
- Extensive experience in industry related sales is required. A good understanding of and experience within a pharmaceutical, biotech or clinical research organization is a plus.
- Proven track record of success implementing business development efforts which maximize revenues.
- Strong client presentation skills
- Excellent customer relationship management skills with national accounts
- Established history of innovative product proposals.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions in a changing environment.
